In another dimension there lay a pile of smoldering ash.
That pile of ash had once been one of the biggest threats to a place known by the name of Neolodge. But thanks to the efforts of one called the Good God, that threat had been stopped.
Temporarily.
In what would appear to anyone who might have been watching, the ash suddenly came to life. It began to spin on the ground, and it then spun up into the air until there was a tornado of ash. That ash soon turned into sand and the tornado into a tornado of sand.
And from the sand tornado emerged the Evil God.
For a few seconds he could only stare at his hands.
Then he let out a cold dark laugh.
“You just can’t defeat the Evil God!”
“What was that?”
“I heard it too! What was it?”
“Who knows, but with what just happened we should check it out.”
The Evil God cringed. He was in no mood to be bothered by the fools that inhabited the castle. So he simply walked through one of the walls.
And emerged in what appeared to be a secret room.
The Evil God was puzzled. The only thing in the room seemed to be an old, dusty horseshoe thing.
He walked over and used his hand to brush some dust off what appeared to be a control panel.
And the portal came to life.
“I hear something coming from the secret room.”
“Quick, go get Forex! If someone’s in there, he’ll want to deal with him.”
See no other choice, the Evil God went through the portal.
Maldone watched as Becca and Gabe emerged from the portal as the dimension they had entered collapsed in on itself.
That foolish Secret Solver. He hadn’t done the smart thing and sent his clone to fight for him.
Seeing as the plan failed horribly, Maldone saw there was no other choice but to flee the area and find shelter until he could find a way off the planet to recover.
He turned away from his hiding place and fled. He didn’t stop running until he was well out of the sight of all those meddling Neolodgers and their help. He cursed them all, hoping that someday, somehow, he’d be able to get his revenge on them.
And boy, if that day came, he’d make them pay.
He found an abandoned laboratory and decided it would make the best hiding out place.
Once inside he was amazed at how many things survived the Domnan invasion. He’d have to take some of the stuff with him when he made his escape.
He put his back to a spot on the wall to get a better look at his new home and ended up pushing something.
Because the portal that had been standing beside him suddenly came to life.
Curious as to what was on the other side, Maldone took two steps to the other side.
